SCL Inmobiliaria has properties for sale and for rent. SCL has many listings they are not able to show on their web site. Please inquire with your specific needs.

The SCL Hospitality Team can arrange your South American travel for you, your family, friends and guests. SCL multilingual hosts can greet you at the Mendoza City Airport (or another airport of your choice) and escort you to your home, property, or hotel, then they can arrange everything from private winery visits to complete customized activity itineraries.
6) SCL focuses operations in the following areas:
MENDOZA – Mendoza is the wine capital of Argentina. The city, located at the foothills of the Andes, 610 miles west of Buenos Aires, boasts a population of over one million. The dry climate, cool nights and hot days, the mineral-rich water, the sandy soil, and an abundance of sun combine to make this one of the finest wine growing regions in the world—the perfect terroir—capable of producing great wines of the highest order.
Originally a desert, Mendoza has been transformed into a beautiful green oasis thanks to modern-day irrigation systems that were originally introduced in the days of the Incas. From the first immigrants to the current inhabitants, the people of Mendoza honor nature. Their hard work has produced a cornucopia of greenery throughout the immaculately manicured streets. Attractive plazas, broad avenues with ceramic-tiled sidewalks, numerous parks and fountains, rose gardens, and pedestrian walkways contribute to Mendoza's unique charm. With Mendoza as your arrival point, and at times your home base, you'll have the chance explore the province’s myriad of real estate opportunities, and to sample our finest wines, including our famous Malbecs.
Valle de Uco—the heart of the Mendoza Wine Country, sprawled at the foot of the snow-draped Andes Mountains—is 90 kilometers south of Mendoza City on a paved road. Driving time is about one hour.
Over $500 million USD has been invested in the wine infrastructure of Mendoza over the past 7 years. Valle de Uco wineries include Bodega Salentein, Bodega J&F Lurton, Winemaker Michelle Roland, Bodega Clos de Siete/Monteviejo and Flechas de Los Andes, Bodega O. Fournier, Bodega La Celia, Bodega Mil Pierdras, Bodega Andeluna, and others.
Current SCL projects in Valle de Uco include: Tierra Mansa – A Private Vineyard Estate; a hotel/spa/vineyard project; a boutique winery project, construction of numerous custom homes, and management of over 200 hectares of prime vineyards.
SCL also owns over 200 hectares of property in the valley, plus properties in Mendoza City, Chacras de Coria, Ugarteche, and other developing areas.
We see Valle de Uco as having the best overall potential for investors (short, medium, and long term), and for lifestyle enthusiasts who want to immerse themselves in wine culture, and revel in the spectacular natural setting.
Special Opportunity in Mendoza for 2010
We invite you to visit the Tierra Mansa – A Private Vineyard Estate site within our web site. Tierra Mansa is a vineyard community in harmony with nature, located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Valle de Uco. Complete packages—including lot (about 1.5 acres, planted with Malbec), and a deluxe 2 bedroom/2.5 bath home of about 1,635 square feet—start at $199,500 USD. Plus there is an excellent opportunity to rent your home through SCL management services to generate significant annual cash flow.

SALTA – The northwestern wine country…colonial tradition, Inca relics and art, and stunning natural beauty. High Andean peaks, wind-sculpted red-walled canyons, rushing rivers, and fertile green valleys span across this vast landscape. The three main ecological and geological regions are: First, the quebradas, the high arid foothills with eye-popping painted desert hillsides, deep southern Utah/northern Arizona red rock canyons, desert swatches of cacti and sage, and green irrigated valleys that are among the most fertile in South America. Second, the yungas, in contrast, are subtropical mountainous jungles with thick vegetation and mist-shrouded hills. This Tropical Andes region is the richest and most diverse region on earth, with a sixth of all plant life in existence in less than one percent of the world's land area. Third, the puna, the cold barren high altitude plateaus near the borders of Bolivia and Chile.
Land values in the Salta region, though rising, are among some of the best values in Argentina for investors and for lifestyle. It is possible to buy large estancias, over 20,000 hectares, at reasonable prices by worldwide standards.
There are also smaller parcels suited to retirement or vacation homes, or to development.
Cafayate is the wine capital of the region, and is home to some of Argentina’s finest wineries, including Bodega Michel Torino and Bodega Etchardt. Situated 183 kilometers south of Salta via National Route 68, Cafayate has become the most important town in the Calchaquí Valleys. Located at 1,660 meters above sea level, the region is famous for its Torrontes grapes, the premier white varietal of Argentina.
Cafayate offers a number of investment opportunities for vineyards, wineries, lodges, hotels, and other tourism related developments, and is a gorgeous tranquil place to live. One specific place we recommend is La Estancia de Cafayate, Wine and Golf. Stephen just returned from the first annual Harvest Festival held at the end of March 2010. He comments that the development is one of the best he’s seen anywhere, with superior infrastructure to support a wonderful lifestyle community with every amenity you can imagine, everything from golf, to polo, to custom winemaking, and much more to come. For more information you can contact Sean Achaval at sachaval@laestanciadecafayate.com or David Norden at dnorden@LaEstanciaDeCafayate.com Sean or David will be delighted to supply the details you’ll need to learn more about their development, and to answer any questions you may have. And Stephen highly recommends that you visit Cafayate to see their community in person. It’s easy to combine a trip to Mendoza with a trip to Cafayate.
SCL projects in Salta include an 18,000 hectare estancia purchased near Cabra Coral for a U.S. investment group.
PATAGONIA/BARILOCHE AREA – SCL owner Stephen Vletas has over 20 years experience in the area related to fly fishing and upscale adventure tourism and lodge development. The most important areas include the resort towns of San Martin and Junin (two hours north of Bariloche), San Carlos de Bariloche, and the national park region from Cholila to Esquel (two to three hours south of Bariloche).
The "queen" of the Andean Lakes District is, unquestionably, the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, a city of 100,000 inhabitants. Located on the south shore of shimmering Lake Nahuel Huapi at 770 meters, the place is often called the Switzerland of Argentina. Loaded with hostels, lodges, upscale hotels and resorts, restaurants, shopping and every imaginable outdoor activity from world-class skiing to fly fishing for wild trout, Bariloche is one of Argentina’s most important centers of tourism.
Bariloche reminds us of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Twenty years ago, real estate here was cheap and abundant. Today, relatively speaking, prices are like those in Jackson Hole (you just get a break because of the exchange rate). That said, there are stunning estancias, fishing properties, lodges, and development opportunities available for the discriminating investor, or for people who want to retire in style in a renowned resort community.
The SCL Land Team is in touch with the most current opportunities, and maintains close contacts with long time friends, guides, real estate veterans, and landowners in Patagonia.
